I was amazed that there were reviews from Steve Berry who is currently my favorite writerand James Rollins 2nd favorite wrote some great reviews on it, so I decided what the hell I would try it out. I know-I know,the whole book is surrounded around the religious mystery. Now mind you, I’m all for the mindless bit of entertaining fluff as long as it’s well written.
Come on, Penguin, did you run out of Jane Austen novels to reprint or something? I sometimes enjoy this sort of high-speed, page-turning thriller, with religious artefacts and mystery.
Really someone should have picked up on point 6, if nothing else One of the thread of the story tries to link a modern Italian family with a well known Roman.

Lists with This Book. I could go on but I do not wish to waste any more of my time on this book. It kept me wanting thf keep reading it and not put it down. Interesting premise revolving around Christ, Tiberius and “the laughing man”.

It reads as though it was written by a testosterone fueled 13 year old boy who just can’t stuff a story with enough oozing blood, explosions, high tech weaponry, fast cars, and macho banter between ths special ops characters. This book is tedious, adds nothing new to the old conspiracy theory and again I must say, those quotes on the cover by Clive Cussler, James Patterson and Nelson Demille.
